Tea Time is a weekly gathering of CS faculty and graduate students. Tea Time is scheduled on Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30 PM.

Faculty engage with their students
Our faculty are thought leaders in their areas of expertise, and they are committed to continuing to advance research within computer science and on large-scale cross-disciplinary projects. But they cannot do it alone—their graduate students are a central part of their team, working on the difficult computer science problems of the day. For this reason, our faculty fully engage with their students. They spend a lot of time with each student, teaching them how to conduct high-quality research and mentoring them so they are qualified to pursue prestigious academic and industry opportunities during and after graduation. Students go on to be world leaders in their areas of expertise, enabling us to have strong long-term connections to industry, non-profits, and governments.
Undergraduate & Graduate Communities
Our undergraduate and graduate community is one that is engaged and connected to the broader Georgetown community. We have opportunities for regular engagement with other computer science students through clubs, tutoring opportunities, and research teams. We also have weekly Tea Times for graduate students, multiple student research presentation days each semester, and regular social events—game nights, scavenger hunts, coding parties, picnics, graduate student happy hours, and more.
