Security, Privacy, and Cryptography
Security, privacy, and cryptography research focuses on building resilient systems and foundational algorithms to safeguard digital infrastructure, preserve user privacy, and secure communication. Georgetown CS researchers work on challenges from theoretical foundations—such as applied cryptography and blockchain—to practical applications in networks, distributed systems, information systems, and human-centered security.
