Sarah Adel Bargal joins as Assistant Professor

Dr. Sarah Adel Bargal has joined the Computer Science department as an Assistant Professor and Provost’s Distinguished Faculty Fellow, effective September 2022.

Dr. Bargal’s research is in the areas of computer vision and machine learning, including notable recent contributions in explainable AI. She has received several awards and fellowships in recognition of her research and teaching. Dr. Bargal was previously a Research Assistant Professor at Boston University, where she also obtained Ph.D. in 2019.
